1. How Do I download and install Stay Connected on my computer?

2. How do I configure Stay Connected! for my Internet Service Provider?

Our Configuration Wizard helps you to quickly set up Stay Connected! for your Internet Service Provider (ISP) easily.
Step 1
- Select your ISP. If you are using America Online (AOL) or CompuServe 2000 (CS2000), NetZero or ATT Worldnet, MSN, select the option. If your ISP is none of the above, check "I am using other ISP".

- After selecting your option, click "Next"

Users on AOL / CS2000


- Check "Yes" if you would like Stay Connected! to launch your AOL or CS2000 browser when it is activated. You will have to select your AOL or CS2000 browser file which is usually 
C:\America Online\aol.exe or  C:\CompuServe 2000\cs.exe. Click Next.
- If you click "No" the wizard brings you to the next screen





- Check "Yes" if you would like Stay Connected! to sign in automatically for you. You have to add your screen name to use this feature. Add your screen name by clicking the "Screen Name Options" button. Click OK. Click Next.
- Check against the AOL pop up windows that you want to close off. CompuServe users can also close off some unwanted pop up windows by entering the appropriate title by going to the advanced configuration menu. Click next and you're done.

Users on NetZero

- Select which version of NetZero you are using. 

- Check "Yes" if you would like Stay Connected! to start your NetZero dialer. Check left click to activate if you want Stay Connected! to dial up to NetZero for you.
- Select the path that contains your NetZero dialer eg. C:\NetZero\nzStart.exe
- Click Next and you're done.

Users on MSN
- Check against Stay Connected! with ATT Worldnet. - Click Apply and OK to activate  Stay Connected! to dial up to AT&T Worldnet for you.
- Click Next and you're done.

- Check against Stay Connected! with ATT Worldnet. - Click Apply and OK to activate  Stay Connected! to dial up to AT&T Worldnet for you.
- Click Next and you're done.

Users of Other ISPs
- Select which dialup profile you want to use. Enter the User ID and Password in order if you want Stay Connected! to dial up for you.

- Advanced Configurations are for advanced users only. Skip this if you are a new user.
- Click Next and you're done.

You have finished Stay Connected! Configuration. Proceed with Step 3 to use Stay Connected!.

3a. How do I activate/deactivate Stay Connected?

3b. How do I know when Stay Connected is running?
- When Stay Connected is running, the program icon (little gray box with a tail) appears in your system tray which is on your windows task bar. If you see a gray icon with a tail, then Stay Connected! is running on your system but not active (deactivated). i.e. It is not scanning for AOL timer messages or sending out any signals.

- To run Stay Connected! from your startup programs, click on "Start", go to "Programs" and click on the program's icon. 

3c.How do I know when Stay Connected is active?

Stay Connected! is active When Stay Connected! is active (it has to be running first), the program icon changes to two green flashing lights. 
If AOL is enabled, there would be two flashing cyan/blue lights instead of green.AOL
if CS is enabled, it should show this icon
If NetZero is enabled, it should show this icon

If MSN is enabled, it should show this icon

If ATT is enabled, it should show this icon

4. How do I run Stay Connected! and set it to be active automatically?

This setting configures Stay Connected!'s startup mode.
This means when you run Stay Connected!, Stay Connected! will automatically activate (Automatic) itself or remain in deactivated (Manual) mode.

5. How do I get into the Stay Connected!'s configurations menu?

Right Click Once on the program icon in your system tool tray.

6a. How do I know if Stay Connected will run every time I bootup my system?

During installation the install will ask you a few questions. One of the questions is:

If you choose "Yes", a shortcut to Stay Connected!'s program file will be placed in your
"StartUp" folder. This ensures that Stay Connected! will run every time you start you computer.

If you choose "No" Stay Connected! will not run when you start your system. You'll have to manually run Stay Connected!.

6b. I choose "No", how do I get Stay Connected! into my "StartUp" folder so it is running every time I boot up my computer?

To start a program each time Windows starts

1 Click the Start button, and then point to Settings.
2 Click Task bar, and then click the Start Menu Programs tab.
3 Click Add, and then click Browse.
4 Locate the Stay Connected! program (default: C:\Program Files\Stay Connected!\), and then double-click "StayCon.exe".
5 Click Next, and then double-click the StartUp folder.
6 Type the name that you want to see on the StartUp menu, and then click Finish.
If Windows prompts you to choose an icon, click one, and then click Finish.

6c. I choose "Yes", how do I remove Stay Connected! from my "StartUp" folder?

Similar as above, click "Remove" at #3.
