Modem Booster is a Web accelerator that addresses the main cause of slow Internet browsing- fragmentation of data during transmission. This utility tests modem performance and tweaks the TCP/IP settings accordingly via a systematic fine-tuning process.

To run Modem Booster, you must have Internet Explorer 4.0/5.0 installed on your computer. Your service provider must be able to use Windows Dial-Up Networking, or is America Online, CompuServe 2000, Microsoft Network (MSN) or NetZero v3.0.4.

If your service provider is not compatible with the above mentioned, then refer to your provider to see if there any special methods to connect to their server with Windows Dial-Up Networking.

Once you have run Auto Tune once, your Internet and modem settings will be automatically optimized for best performance. However, if you notice that your Internet connection speed has slowed down, run Auto Tune to boost your performance again.

Continue to use Modem Booster for a few more days and check if your Internet performance has improved. Sometimes it requires a few restarts of Windows for the optimal modem settings to take effect.
