1: Getting Started

1.1 Charging the Phone


Before using the phone for the first time, you must charge the battery

1) Plug the large end of the charger into a power outlet.
2) When the battery is fully charged (the battery icon is no longer moving), unplug the travel adapter from the power outlet.
3) Unplug the cable from the phone.

Note: The phone can be connected to the computer/laptop USB port for charging.

1.2 Installing a Sim Card

Before performing the following operations, make sure the phone is switched off.

1) Insert the Sim card with the gold contacts of the SIM card facing down.

1.3 Switching The Phone On/Off

1) To switch on the phone, hold on to the on/off button (Button No: 7) for 2 secs.
2) If your Sim card is locked, you will need to enter the PIN code.
3) To switch off the phone, hold on to the on/off button (Button No: 7) for 2 secs.


 
2: Making & Receiving Calls

2.1 Making a call


1) Enter the desired phone number and press the Dial button (Button No 4).
2) To make a correction, press the Back button (Button No 2).
3) To Cancel or End a call, press Cancel Dial / End Call button (Button No 5).

2.2 Answering Calls

1) Press the Dial key (Button No 4) to answer the call
2) Press Cancel Dial / End Call button (Button No 5) to cancel the call.

2.3 Adjusting The Volume

1) The volume of the calls can be adjusted by pressing on the [/] navigation buttons.

2.4 Hands Free

1) Press the Menu button (Button No 3) turn off the speakerphone during a call directly.

2.5 Call Options

1) During a call, press Back button (Button No 2) to enter the call options.
2) You can retain the telephone number at the end of the call, view call history, information, enable sound recording, mute the call or adjust the volume.

2.6 View Call History

1) Press the Dial button (Button No 4).
2) Press the [/] navigation buttons to scroll thru the list.





 
3: Phonebook

View and manage your contact numbers in your SIM card or Phone.

3.1 Phonebook List

1) Press the Menu button (Button No 3) and select the Phone Book option
2) Press the [/] navigation buttons to scroll thru the list. Press Dial key (Button No 4) to call selected number.

3.2 Options Menu

In the phone book options menu, you may do the following:

1) View: View current contact details.
2) Send Text Message: Send SMS to the designated contact.
3) Call: Call the selected contact.
4) Edit: Edit the current contact information.
5) Delete: Delete the current contact.
6) Copy: Copy the current contact from sim card to phone or vice versa.
7) Phonebook settings:
             a) Preferred storage location: select the preferred storage location.
             b) Speed Dial: Set the desired number to call in the standby interface.
             c) Fix Dial: Set fixed dialing.
             d) Memory status: View the phone and SIM memory status.




 
4: Call Center

4.1 Call History

This function retrieves your call activities.

          1) Missed calls
              This function records the most recent unanswered contact numbers and names.

          2) Dialed calls
              This function records the most recent dialed contact numbers and names.

          3) Received calls
              This function records the most recent answered contact numbers and names.

          4) Delete call logs
              This function deletes existing call records.

4.2 Call Settings

          1) Call waiting
              Make or receive another call while you’re already on the phone. If you receive a second call, the
              phone beeps and shows the caller’s information and a list of options.

              Select the Activate option to use call waiting.

              Note: please consult your local network operator if you are eligible for this service.

          2) Call Divert
              Call Divert unconditionally diverts all incoming calls to your Voicemail, or to another number you have
              specified

              Options vailable:
              a) Divert all voice calls
              b) Divert if unreachable
              c) Divert if no answer
              d) Divert if busy
              e) Divert all data calls
              f) Cancel all diverts

          Note: please consult your local network operator if you are eligible for this service.5.2.3

          3) Call barring
              This function restricts certain types of outgoing calls (such as international calls) and/or incoming calls
              (such as from undesirable callers).

              Options vailable:
              a) Incoming Calls
              b) Outgoing Calls
              c) Cancel All
              d) Change Barring Password

          Note: Some network operators limit the use of this feature, please consult your network operator.

          4) Advanced Setting
              a)Auto Redial
                 When auto redial is turned on, the phone will automatically redial the number when your call fails.

              b) Call time reminder
                   i) Single : This function will send one prompt base on the set time given. (1-3000sec)

                   ii) Periodic : This function will send a prompt every X seconds. (30-60 secs).

              c) Answer Mode
                   i) Any Key: Activating this will allow you to answer the phone by pressing any key.

                   ii) Auto Answer when using headset:
                      Activating this will all the phone to answer all calls when the headset is inserted.




 

5.1 Write Message or SMS

          1) Press the # key to switch input methods.
              Input Methods available:
                 a) abc - small capital letters
                 b) ABC - capital letters
                 c) BoPoMo - Simplified Chinese characters
                 d) Traditional Chinese – Traditional Chinese characters
                 e) Simplified Chinese - Simplified Chinese characters
                 f) Smart PinYin - Simplified Characters Chinese
                 g) Numeric – Numbers

          2) Once you have finished composing your message, press Menu button (Button No 3) and select “Send to”
              option.
          3) To add recipients, select “Enter Number” or “Add from Phonebook” options. You may also do a mass
              broadcast by adding more recipients.
          4) To send, press the Dial Key (Button No 4)

5.2 Inbox

Storage and management of incoming SMS messages.

          1) Press the # key to switch input methods.
              Options available:
                 a) View: View SMS message
                 b) Forward: Forward message SMS to a recipient
                 c) Delete: Delete SMS message
                 d) Delete All: Delete all SMS messages in the inbox

5.3 Draft

SMS messages can be saved as a draft before sending out. Please refer to 5.2 for operation instructions.

5.4 Outbox

Failed transmission of SMS messages will be stored here. Please refer to 5.2 for operation instructions.

5.5 Sent Messages

Successful transmission of SMS messages will be stored here. Please refer to 5.2 for operation instructions.

 
6: Multimedia

6.1 Audio Player

          a) Transfer MP3 music files to your phone
               1) Insert USB cable into phone and PC.
               2) Select Mass storage and press “OK”
               3) A removable drive will appear in your computer. Select the folder “My Music” and transfer your MP3
                   files to this folder.
               4) After transfer is complete, remove the cable from the phone

          b) Play MP3 music files
               1) From the “Multimedia” menu screen, select “Audio Player”
               2) Use the navigation buttons to select the song.
               3) Press “Options” and select “Play” Select the folder “My Music” and transfer your MP3
                   files to this folder.
               4) When the music is playing, use the [/] navigation buttons to adjust the volume.

6.2 Sound Recorder

          a) Record New Sound
               1) From the “Multimedia” menu screen, select “Sound Recorder”
               2) Press the “Menu” button and select “New Record”. The phone will start recording immediately.
               3) Press the “Menu” button to pause and “Back” button the stop recording.
               4) When the recording has stopped, the phone will save the sound recording in your micro SD card.
               5) Select “List” from the options menu to display the list of your recordings.
               6) You can also change the quality of the sound recording to in the “Setting options”.

          b) Extract Sound Recordings
               1) Insert USB cable into phone and PC.
               2) Select Mass storage and press “OK”
               3) A removable drive will appear in your computer.
               4) Your sound recordings will be saved in the “Audio” folder.

6.3 FM Radio
Please insert the earphones before you use the radio function.

          a) Radio Stations
               1) In the radio function screen, press the “Options” and select “Auto Search”. The phone will start
                   to search and save all your radio stations in your area.
               2) Once the phone has completed the search, use the [/] navigation buttons to scroll thru the saved
                   stations.
               3) You can also fine tune the radio stations by using the [/] navigation buttons.
               4) To adjust the volume, press “*” to decrease and the “#” to increase the volume.

          b) Play thru loud speakers
               1) In the radio function screen, press the “Options” and select “Settings”.
               2) Scroll down and select “Loudspeaker” .
               3) Press key on the numeric pad and select “On”.
               4) Press “Save”.

6.4 File Management

Manage your files in your Micro SDcard.

              Options available:
                 a) Open: View files in your Micro SDcard
                 b) Format: Deletes all files in your Micro SDcard
                 c) Details: View storage details of your Micro SDcard

 

7.1 Calender

In the Calendar interface, press the [/] navigation buttons to scroll the dates.

7.2 Alarm Clock

You can store up to 5 alarms in the phone.

               1) Select a time slot and press “Edit”
               2) Select “Status” and select “On” to activate alarm.
               3) Press the numeric keypad to enter time. Do take note the time format is in 24hrs.
               4) You may change the alarm periods to Once, Everyday, or select the desired days.

7.3 Calculator

A simple calculator to do the simple addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division operations. Press the
numeric keys to enter numbers and the navigation keys to for +, -, ×, ÷.




 
8: Settings

8.1 User Profile

There are 4 user profile modes - General, Silent, Meeting, Outdoor mode to customerize. To activate a profile, select desire profile and press “Activate”

8.2 Shortcut

You can add your favorite functions in the main interface by pressing the [/] navigation buttons. You may add up to 10 shortcuts.

              Options available
                 a) Add – Add function to shortcut

                 b) Edit – Change function of shortcut

                 c) Delete – Delete shortcut

                 d) Delete All – Delete all shortcuts

                 e) Change Order – Change the order of the shortcuts

8.3 Phone Settings

              Options available
                 a) Date & Time – Set the local city and the time, date and their formats.

                 b) Language – Set the language of the phone displays (English or Chinese).

                 c) Preferred input method – set the phone to the default input method.

                 d) Show Time and Date – enable or disable the display time and date in the main interface.

                 e) Dedicated Key – Set the function of the four navigation keys in the main interface.

                 f) Flight Mode – This function will disable your mobile network.

                 g) Keypad Vibrator – This function will allow your numeric keypad to vibrate when pressed

                 h) Misc Settings – Set the duration of your LCD backlight when the phone is not in used.

8.4 Network Settings

Set manual / automatic network and GPRS transmission priority mode.

8.5 Security Settings

              Options available
                 a) SIM Security – Set/change password on your SIM card.
                      Note: If you enter the wrong PIN three times in a row, the SIM card is locked, you must enter the PUK
                      code to unlock.
                 b) Phone Security – Set/change phone password. Default password is 1122
                 c) Auto Keypad Lock – Set the duration for the phone to lock automatically.

8.6 Connectivity

Setup of your data account.

8.7 Restore Factory Settings

Restore the phone to factory default settings. Default password is 112.



 
9: Bluetooth

Options available:
     a) Power – Activate/Deactivate Bluetooth on the phone.
     b) Visibility – Set phone to be visible/invisible to other Bluetooth devices.
     c) My Device – Search for nearby open the Bluetooth-enabled devices.
     d) Search Audio Devices – search for Bluetooth headsets or other audio devices.
     e) My Name – Set the identity for the phone Bluetooth.
     f) Advanced – Set the audio path and view the Bluetooth address.
